Regional Center for Lighting (RCL), supported by the USAID SARI/Energy program, and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lighting Research Center, is bridging the vital pathways of science and education with manufacturing and quality assurance to create a commercial infrastructure designed to offer energy security and promote economic development throughout the region.
This Forum will result in a lighting roadmap for South Asia benefiting the people and the economy through sustainable technologies.
Solid-state lighting currently offers more promise in South Asia than any other market has offered in nearly two decades. The RCL invites you to join this exciting journey and work to build a lighting technology roadmap and establish a dynamic commercial framework supporting regional and global commerce benefiting key stakeholders and most importantly, the people of South Asia.
If you are interested in participating, please complete and return the Registration Form by 30 November 2010. Because of limited number of seats we will notify you of your acceptance within five business days and you will be subject to a registration fee of USD 500 that is payable by 15 December 2010.
(The USD500 registration fee includes access to all conference events and covers the costs of an inauguration dinner on January 17 2011, lunch and a special networking dinner on 18 January 2011, and lunch on 19 January2011. All other costs (such as airfare and hotel accommodation) would be at your own additional expense. Upon confirmation of your participation, and subject to availability, you could book a room at the conference venue,Traders Hotel, Malé, at our special conference rate of USD235 per night)
