![]() Leba Haber Rubinoff is an award-winning filmmaker and interaction designer. After Leba received her Master's degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, she became the Digital Artist in Residence In the BFF Lab. In 2005, Leba won a Webby for "Best Political Website" for her interactive narrative, weaponsofmisdirection.com". Her newest interactive film, "Where My Ladies At?",examines sexuality in Hip Hop was also developed In the BFF Lab and Is funded by the Ford Foundation. The film weaves fiction, documentary, and community dialogue accessible online and on wireless devices. Leba co-founded the Panty Raiders, an award-winning ambush marketing agency, which specializes in humorous viral campaigns. The Panty Raiders have won several awards, including the grand prize at the Eyebeam Contagious Media Festival, two consecutive wins for the Huffington Post Contagious Festival and two w3 Web Awards. Leba's company, Interactive Filmmaking, has partnered with Microsoft Research India to create an interactive documentary about the global digital divide. Leba began her career as a filmmaker, directing films for the United Nations and the Canadian government in locations as diverse as Tanzania, Lebanon and Cameroon. More recently, Leba has parlayed her knowledge of the online landscape as a consultant for AOL, VH1, Telemundo, and the City of New York.
